Avigdor Lieberman said he would pull his right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu party out of Olmert’s coalition government if Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams begin talks on borders, and the fate of Jerusalem and Palestinian refugees.

The new neighborhood is planned for east of the already-constructed Har Homa, in close proximity to Beit Sahur and Bethlehem. If built, it would isolate Bethlehem completely from the Palestinian neighborhoods south of Jerusalem.

Another source, who is involved with the outpost issue, said that Olmert plans to show Bush the proposed new rules on construction in the territories that the ministerial committee on outposts plans to adopt.
